Brimhall Industrial Adds HAAS Milling and Turning Centers to Capabilities

Brimhall Industrial recently acquired a new HAASVF-4 CNC milling machine and a HAAS SL-30 CNC lathe. These machines are generally absent in the reapir industry because of the customized nature of repairs. Brimhall Industrial has identified opportunities for these machines to decrease machining time for parts which appear in multiples within a single piece of equipment. They also allow Brimhall Industrial to respond more quickly to orders for repeat parts by simply recalling the original program, stocking the machine, and pushing the start button.

 

The use of CNC also allows Brimhall Industrial to machine complex geometries which are very difficult or impossible to do with manual machining methods. For example, a customer needed new semi-closed pump impellers for a pump which was obsolete and for which the cost of casting new impellers would exceed the value of the pump. Brimhall Industrial was able to solve this dilemma and save the customer time and money by machining new impellers from bar stock in the CNC milling machine.
